Karen Moriarty

Housatonic partnered with Karen Moriarty in 1996 to launch Carillon Assisted Living. It has grown to become one of the largest senior care and assisted living community companies in the state of North Carolina, employing 1,200 people across twenty locations.

Over the course of two decades, Housatonic has supported Carillon with multiple investments to fund growth and provide liquidity. Housatonic also aided the company in developing its plan to build out additional facilities in North Carolina.

In November 2006, Carillon completed a successful sale/leaseback transaction with a large REIT.
