In September 2017, Housatonic backed Brian Williams in acquiring in FIMC, a leading provider of auto club memberships which provide consumers with roadside assistance and other related consumer protections.

Founded in 1974, FIMC operates a nationwide auto club with over 600,000 active memberships which are sold through consumer finance companies as an add-on to a personal loan. Membership benefits include: emergency roadside assistance, legal services, reimbursement of emergency medical expenses, car rentals due to auto theft and other consumer protections.
